Lisa Mary Nelson

Melbourne, Victoria.

Lisa Nelson is a Melbourne based graphic designer. She has obtained her Bachelor of Communication Design alongside her industry and internship experiences. Lisa has a special interest in visual identity development and publication design.
I relocated to Melbourne in 2022 to study my Bachelors at RMIT University. Having now completed my degree (2024), I am eager to transition into a dynamic and creative environment where I can continue to expand my skills and meaningfully contribute to a team. My passion for design, paired with hands-on industry experience completed alongside my studies, makes me a strong asset to any creative team.
I am proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, PremierePro and After Effects. My internship with Free Range Future allowed me to further develop my skills, working to a deadline within a team, interpreting briefs and applying my aforementioned skills to industry projects. Here, I shadowed their executive graphic designer and marketing strategist.
Alongside my studies, I have been working as a casual graphic designer for an Adelaide based podcast agency, constructing their visual identity in their early stages. I have also assisted small business, Maja Designs in completing a council brief. These experiences have strengthened my ability to work in fast-paced team environments, manage client interactions, and meet tight deadlines.
